The Acuamaya Group has invested in its own infrastructure and R&D to optimize the management of the shrimp lifecycle and full product traceability. The company has 3 shrimp production farms, 1 shrimp hatchery and a processing plant.
ACUAMAYA SHRIMP FARMS – PACIFIC COAST GUATEMALA, CENTRAL AMERICA
The Acuamaya group owns and operates the 3 different farms in the Pacific Coast of Guatemala, Central America, with extensions of 400 hectares of ponds. The ideal conditions of the farms, together with one of the best teams of technicians in the industry, allows the Acuamaya group to consistently produce great quality shrimp at highly productive farms.

ACUAMAYA’S LA CANDELARIA SHRIMP HATCHERY MONTERRICO, GUATEMALA
In order to fully control the entire life cycle of the Shrimp production process, Acuamaya also owns and manages its own maturation and hatchery facilities for nauplii and post larvae production, one of the most advanced in Central America.

Acuamaya’s production farms are complemented with the Processing Plant, a modern, state of the art processing, packing and freezing plant with a capacity of 70,000 pounds per day, which is conveniently located in Guatemala City. The plant also processes the shrimp for other local producers and meets all of the standards and certifications required to export to the most demanding markets, including HACCP and European Market Certifications.
