According to Zandy, it is important to have the proper infrastructure and community programs in place to achieve support for at least 50,000 new baby turtles each year. The two turtle hatcheries featured in the video, Las Lisas and Chapeton on the Eastern Pacific Coast of Guatemala, account for more than half of the 25,000 turtles spawned last year.
